Gemilang Tech came together in 2019 when a small group of AI practitioners, enterprise software developers, and organisational trainers realised they were solving the same problem separately: Malaysian businesses had growing interest in AI but limited access to implementation support that understood the local context.
The founding team had seen what happened when AI projects were led purely from a technology standpoint — tools were deployed without staff understanding, training programmes were delivered without practical application, and integration work ignored the linguistic and regulatory nuances of operating in Malaysia.
Our approach is different in that we treat AI integration and training as two sides of the same coin. A knowledge graph is only useful if the people who need to query it know how to do so. A speech recognition system is only valuable if the team responsible for it understands its limits and can calibrate expectations with stakeholders.
Since our founding, we have worked with organisations across professional services, healthcare administration, logistics, and public sector bodies — each engagement shaped by what the client's team can realistically adopt and maintain.
